Description
Genus: Salvia apiana Common name: white sage, California white sage This is an evergreen perennial shrub that is native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico and can be found mainly in southern California, Baja California, on the western edges of the Mojave and Sonoran deserts.
The leaves are burned for different purification ceremonies, the roots are used in teas for healing and strength after childbirth. When burning, please use caution and burn on surfaces meant for fire only.
