Description
Non-Native American artist Dan Chapman, Sturgis SD, commercially prepared and painted this buffalo bull skull.
Dan uses a special blend of paints to finish the main part of the skull. He leaves the horn covers natural, he adds blue wool cloth to the base of each horn cover and a band of metal. Dan hangs two domestic turkey feathers from one side of the skull.
Dan tells the story of the skull,” Skulls are the essence of spiritual significance to the Plains Indians. Tatanka guided tribal members in the physical and spiritual world.”
This painted buffalo skull is ready to hang.
