Native American Made Baby Size Star Quilt: Responsibility (49 x 50 inches)

Delilah McPherson, Mnicoujou Lakota Nation, likes to hand quilt her baby star quilts.

She was first taught, by her grandmother, the art of quilt making when she was around 15 years old. She said grandma had her cut and sew blocks and points together and then grandma would finish the construction.

Delilah says her quilts can be machine washed (gently cycle) with cold water but she recommends letting them air dry and if they need to be fluffed just set the dryer on a low setting.
