Native American Made Baby Size Star Quilt: Winter Fir (49 x 50 inches)

Delilah McPherson, Mnicoujou Lakota Nation, loves to hand sew/quilt her baby star quilts. She was first taught, by her grandmother, the art of quilt making when she was around 15 years old. She said grandma had her cut and sew blocks and points together and then grandma would finish the construction.

Made from cotton material, Delilah says you can machine wash on gentle and then hang to dry. She says you can give it a final fluff on low and only for a few minutes. This will help to preserve the hand stitching.
