Native American Hand Painted Shield: Calling For a Vision

Native American artist Thomas Ridley, Ute Mountain Ute Nation of Colorado, hand paints his personal image of calling for a vision.

Thomas uses acrylic paints, adds small leather medicine bundles, clusters of bells with cloth and finishes the shield with blue wool cloth and imitation eagle feathers.

The piece is signed by the artist.
