Description

Hunkpapa Lakota artist Del Iron Cloud hand paints this particular buffalo/bison robe where it depicts a winter scene with “The Protector” materializing up from above.

Del says, "The White Buffalo is considered sacred among the Lakota. It provides protection and guides the People through difficult times."

Del uses a commercially tanned buffalo robe with the hair on and paints the sueded side of the hide with acrylic paints.  He finishes it by signing the piece.
