Pendelton Blanket: San Miguel

This Pendleton blanket is inspired from the 19th century Native American weaving traditions.  The traditional banded chief stripe evolved into the Navajo ‘third phase’ pattern shortly after 1860.  Geometric patterns expanded and merged into a ‘nine-element’ layout often with a diamond or a cross as the reoccurring design.
