Native American artist Faye Charging Thunder (Oglala Lakota) creates her crib/baby size star quilt using different shades of pink, purple, white and ribbon patterned cotton fabric.  She both hand and machine sews the design.  Dry cleaning is recommended to keep the colors of the quilt bright and vibrant, however, it still can be machine washed.
