Native American artist Mike McLeod, Bad River Band Chippewa, hand paints this hide with acrylic paints. The image is of a group of Heyoka (contrary) riders, this is a special way of commemorating those who are not the same as everyone else but are still accepted as an important part of the Nation.

Mike finishes the decoration of this piece with a metal concho, leather dangles that feature glass and metal beads w metal cones and imitation eagle feathers.

The piece is signed by the artist.
