Bad River Band Chippewa artist Mike McLeod decorates this buffalo skull to commemorate the life of a specific warrior, Heyoka is contrary which is perfectly depicted.

Mike uses acrylic paint for the red and blue, he adds leather circles and leather stars. The top of the skull is covered with a leather bib with colored fringe. Mike left the horn covers natural and covers the base of each with wool cloth, leather dangles, glass beads and metal cones.

Mike finishes the piece with imitation eagle feathers.
