Hand painted by local Sicangu Lakota Nation member Evans Flammond, Sr., he pays homage to the Four Directions with groupings of 4. Evans said “I started with the center and the rest of the design evolved from there. I wanted to use the same color scheme throughout the robe to draw your eye to each symbol.”

Evans used acrylic paints and free hand draws and paints this commercially tanned buffalo robe with hair on.
