Local Lakota artist Aryanna “Fred” Little Wounded, Cheyenne River Sioux Nation, hand makes this small rattle using rawhide attached to a decorated wooden handle.

She creates the face of the rattle with glass beads, paints the rawhide with acrylic paint and adds badger claws for horns. To finish the decoration of this piece, Aryanna adds real buffalo fur, glass beads and metal beads.
