Description

Created by hand, Jared Lanz, Oglala Lakota Nation, this small bag would carry all of the items you needed to start a small fire. It would have been kept inside of your shirt or someplace that would stay dry.

Jared uses smoked deer hide and decorates the bag with dyed porcupine quills and hand cut glass Italian tube beads with round beads. The actual useable area of the bag measures 5 1/2 inches tall by 4 inches wide. There are tiny metal cones at the bottom.

He finishes the bag with a decorated flap, leather dangle with glass and brass beads and two quill wrapped dangles with deer toes.

Measures:
Length 21 1/2 | Width 3 3/4 | Deep 1 inches
All measurements are approximate.
