NativeAmerican artist Leonard Good Bear (Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe) hand makes this particular hair barrette with ruby red, turquoise blue, orange, yellow and white beads to create his starburst design.  He also uses pieces of porcupine quills to accent the barrette as well as commercially tanned leather for the back of the barrette and a French-style clasp. Leonard has also signed the barrette.
