This extra large hair barrette is hand made with blue, black, red, orange, yellow, white, and green beads to create the dragonfly design.  The barrette is accented with dentalium shells for the wings and head, an abalone shell disc for the center, and a cabochon for the head of the dragonfly.  The piece is finished with a commercially tanned leather backing and a smooth press-hinge style clasp.
