Book Review on "Life's Journey Zuya: Oral Teachings from Rosebud"

A couple of Prairie Edge's very own employees have read Albert White Hat Sr.'s book "Life's Journey Zuya: Oral Teachings from Rosebud" and these are their thoughts. Check it out!
I don’t know why I haven’t read this book before. “Zuya” is a book I always keep on the shelves, a book that schools order often. I knew it is an important book and yet I hadn’t read it until now. I have to say, it is one of the best books I have ever read. It has explained so much of the Lakota culture to me and has made things much clearer. Like Mr. White Hat, I came to learn about the Lakota Ceremonies later in life. I have had many questions about our own culture answered by reading Mr. White Hat’s words. I had such a good feeling once I completed reading the book “Zuya.” Wo Lakota!!!! - Anita Comeau
Much like Anita has previously mentioned, I have not read Albert White Hat’s book “Zuya” until very recently. After reading it, however, I found that there was a wealth of knowledge of the Lakota culture that I have a better understanding and appreciation for. Albert White Hat explains things in a way that it’s easy to understand and put it in perspective what the term Mitakuye Oyasin really means. – Brittany Davila
