Description

Native American artist Jim Little Wounded, Mnicoujou Lakota Nation, creates a lance long enough to hunt a Buffalo with, he imbues the spirit of the Bear by painting symbols of the paw on the lance tip cover.

The shaft is wood, stained and covered in sections with buffalo fur, glass beads, wool cloth, horse hair and leather strips. Jim finishes the decoration of the shaft by hanging imitation eagle feathers.

The lance tip cover is made from rawhide sewn and finished together with red wool cloth and leather tie. He paints the rawhide with acrylic paint and change two imitation feathers and glass beads.
