Description
Local Mnicoujou Lakota Nation member J.J. Little Wounded hand crafts this hand rattle using a turtle shell attached to a wooden handle. The rattle sound is enclosed with stretched rawhide cinched tight around the edge of the shell and then attached to a decorated wooden handle.
J.J. decorates the rattle with a single fluff attached with a metal cone and glass beads, the handle is covered with leather and a tuft of buffalo hair.
