Hand carved by local Lakota pipe maker Tilden Reddest, Oglala Lakota Nation.

The bowl is carved from Catilinite or red pipestone, s softer stone found on the Northern Plains and used by the indigenous people for the milinnea.

The stem is made from ash wood.
