Description

Local Lakota artist Aryanna “Fred” Little Wounded, Cheyenne River Sioux Nation member, cuts deer rawhide into the shape of a hand. She attaches the rawhide to a wooden handle that is covered with leather. She decorates the rattle with glass beads, metal beads, tin cones and imitation eagle feathers.

Aryanna paints her designs with acrylic paint. She finishes the decoration with dyed porcupine quills.
