Local quilt maker Delilah McPherson, Mnicoujou Lakota, hand sews her baby quilt with cotton material, she says it's easier to hand sew.

Delilah says you can machine wash the baby quilt on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Hang the quilt to dry and then shake the quilt, you can fluff on the lowest setting on your dryer.
