Description

Native American artist Jim Little Wounded, Mnicoujou Lakota Nation, creates a long lance that is an example of a hunting lance. You would thrust the lance with full force, trying to plunge into the heart of the animal.

Jim covers the wooden shaft of the lance with red wool cloth, he adds 2 sections of beadwork, horse hair tie and imitation eagle feathers. The tip is iron. Jim covers the lance with a painted and decorated rawhide tip cover.
