When we look at the stars above we imagine they could be the spirit fires of our ancestors waiting for us to join them. The Milky Way can be viewed as a path or road to the ones we love in the Spirit World.

Local Native American artist Mike McLeod, Bad River Band Chippewa, hand painted the path or road to the Spirit World on the forehead of a buffalo skull with acrylic paint.

The skull is prepared for hanging.
