Description
Joelle Follows the Road, Standing Rock Sioux Nation, hand created this clutch style bag to commemorate the Butterflies from home.
“ I got the idea of "Butterflies from Standing Rock” from one of our summer trips to the southern part of the Standing Rock reservation, sitting by the Grand River. On one side of the bag you’ll see a turquoise blue quill that I dyed with blue koolaid (safer for work by mouth instead of using a commercial brand dye). My representation of sky plus water plus transparent butterfly wings, it was a you had to be there moments.” ~Joelle Follows the Road 2025
