Description

This lovely little rattle was created by Aryanna “Fred” Little Wounded, Cheyenne River Sioux Nation, who uses rawhide, real horse hair and acrylic paint. Fred learned her craft from her grandparents and remains true to the style she was taught.

The eyes are made from dyed porcupine quills, glass beads, metal cones and two imitation eagle body feathers. She paints the image of bear tracks on one side of the rattle and a warrior carrying a gunstock war club on the other.
