Jim Little Wounded, Minneconjou Lakota, creates the excitement  of a buffalo hunt on this painted hand drum. A successful hunt would feed a tribe all through the winter.

Jim paints the images with acrylic paint on a deer rawhide surface. The drum is constructed from wood and the beater has a wooden handle and a stuffed leather head.

Jim completes the decoration of the drum with leather dangles, glass beads and metal bells.

The piece is signed by the artist.

Length 16 | Width 16 | Deep 2 inches.
The leather dangles hang an extra 10 inches down from the bottom of the drum.
