Native American Painted Deer Hide w Hanger: Buffalo Runners
Native American artist Evans Flammond, Sr., hand paints the images of the horses who helped buffalo hunters provide for the People. Buffalo hunting could be dangerous for the rider but also for the horse, it was pretty special to find a horse that was faster than the herd of buffalo you were hunting.
Evans uses a commercially tanned deer hide for his artwork. He hand paints all of the images with acrylic paints. Evans finishes the piece with a decorated hanger that is attached to deer hide.
The piece is signed by the artist.
