Hand crafted by local Lakota artist Sophie Little Wounded, Mnicojou Lakota, she uses deer rawhide shaped and painted into a horse head. Sophie uses glass beads to create eyes and decorate the handle.
She finishes with a wooden handle covered with leather, dyed orange real horse hair and imitation eagle feathers.
