Native American Made Bone Hair Pipe Breastplate w Orange Beads & Cowrie Shells

Current stock: 0

This nice piece of art by Native American artist Mike McLeod is created in the classic style of the bone breastplate. It was not meant to protect you, it was a symbol of your status.

Mike uses shaped bones that are strung together between strips of tooling leather. He adds gold colored metal beads and transparent orange beads to each strung bone. He finishes the ends of the strung bone with more glass beads and cowrie sea shells.

Mike finishes the breastplate with gold colored metal discs and leather dangles that feature gold colored metal beads.
