Native American Hand Painted Shield w Buffalo Tracks and Blue Stripe

Native American artist Evans Flammond Sr., hand paints images of buffalo tracks on this shield.

Evans starts with a commercially tanned deer hide, he stretches this across a willow hoop. He adds the artwork with acrylic paints. Evans finishes the decoration of this shield with red wool cloth, wild turkey barbed feathers, domestic turkey feathers, metal bells, metal beads and glass beads.
