Native American Hand Painted Shield: Buffalo Spirit

This particular shield is hand painted by Miniconjou Lakota artist Jim Little Wounded.  He uses acrylic paints for the buffalo spirit design.  Jim also decorates the shield with imitation eagle and hawk feathers, leather fringe, bells, a quilled medicine wheel, and a detailed beaded amulet
