Native American Hand Made Small Male Doll w Breastplate
Native American artist Charish Leclair, Minneconjou Lakota, creates this small male doll with a soft body and buffalo hair for his long braid.
Charish uses commercially tanned deer leather for the shirt and leggings, she decorates them with small glass beads and acrylic paint. She painted the fringe a different color than the main body of the shirt and leggings. Charish attaches a tiny knife sheath to the shirt, it is decorated with small beads and little beaded moccasins on his feet.
Charish uses glass beads to create the face of the doll, his choker and breastplate. The head features buffalo hair for the long braid and tiny bone discs for earrings.
