Native American Hand Made Plains Style Pipe Bag w Pipe Set
Native American artist Mike McLeod, Bad River Band Chippewa, creates a personal sized Plains style pipe bag and pipe set.
Mike paints the pipe bag with images of a turtle, waterbird and 4 pointed stars. One side of the bag features colored fringe, horse hair dangles with tin cones, glass beads and metal beads. The fringe is also along the bottom of the bag. Mike finishes the bag with wrapped glass beads around the opening. The actual useable bag size is 18 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide.
Mike added a personal pipe set. The stem measures 9 inches long by 1 inch wide, Mike decorated the wooden stem with buffalo fur, glass and metal beads, aged tin cones and leather fringe. The small t-shape bowl is made from catlinite also known as pipestone. It measures 2 3/4 inches long by 1 3/4 inches tall by 1/2 inch wide.
