Native American artist Rayme Little Wounded, MInneconjou Lakota Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, makes a smaller axe that can be used to chop or defend.

The head of the axe is a cold forged iron blade with cutouts to create lightning and hailstones. Rayme attaches this to a wooden handle. He decorates the handle with glass beads and metal bells.

Rayme finishes the end of the axe with a pheasant feather dangle and long horse hair that extends 22 inches from the handle.
