Native American Hand Carved Elk Dance Stick w Amulet
Native American artist Jim Little Wounded carves the image of an elk from wood. Elk have a long history with the Plains Indians, their imagery has been found on shields, hides, flutes and many more important items.
After Jim carves the wood into the shape of an elk, he adds antlers carved from buffalo horn cover and buffalo fur under the chin. The eyes and the ears are beaded with glass beads. Jim finalizes the decoration of this stick with a glass beaded elk amulet.
The piece is signed by the artist.
