There has always been a unique relationship between the Plains Indians and the Buffalo. Native American artist Jim Little Wounded commemorates this relationship with a hand carved buffalo dance stick.
Jim carves the stick from wood, he paints and stains the wood. Jim adds real buffalo hair, imitation feathers, metal bells and glass beads. He finishes the dance stick with a beaded amulet that represents a man/buffalo spirit that guides the carrier of this dance stick.
The piece is signed by the artist.
