Native American Hand Beaded Wrist Bag: Mato Spirit
Mato, the Lakota word for Bear, is honored with this beautifully hand beaded wrist bag. Native American artist Kevin Fast Horse uses hand cut glass Italian beads to pay homage to the spirit of the Bear.
Kevin attaches his beadwork to commercially tanned deer leather. He adds a short handle which is 24 inches long, the actual bag measures 13 inches wide by 8 inches tall and the fringe is 8 inches long.
Kevin finishes the decoration of this bag with metal and glass bead leather dangles, abalone shells and tiny metal bells.
The piece is signed by the artist.
