She’s tall and lovely, her beadwork is tidy and neat. Native American artist Melanie Two Eagle, Oglala Lakota of South Dakota, creates a women’s traditional dancer doll.
The doll has beaded moccasins and leggings, she has a beaded head band with a single feather fluff and her belt features a beaded strike-a-light bag, awl cats and knife case. Her bag is made from rawhide and is embellished with small metal bells and silk ribbon. Melanie has decorated the doll dress with mother of pearl shells and more silk ribbon.
Melanie finishes the doll with bracelets, shell earrings, choker, women’s breastplate, and a leather belt. The actual doll measures 25 inches tall and the fluff adds and extra inch.
