Native American Hand Beaded & Quilled Shirt
Native American artist Donald Sharp Fish, Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, creates a beautiful example of historical designs with glass beads and dyed porcupine quills.
Donald uses commercially tanned deer hides for the body and sleeves of the shirt. The body of the shirt has long tail fringe on either and the sleeves feature fringe along the bottom and the ends. Donald adds the glass beaded strips over the shoulders and down the sleeves.
He finishes the decoration of this shirt with a porcupine quilled bib with commercially tanned ermine hides.
Length 49 | Width 62 | Deep 1 1/2 inches.
All measurements are approximate. Length is measured from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the longest fringe. The shirt measures 30 inches long from the collar to the bottom of the shirt.
