Native American Hand Beaded Pipe Bag: Turquoise Colored Background w Horse Tracks
Native American artist Brenda DuBray, Oglala Lakota, hand beads this full sized pipe bag. A pipe is a precious and important piece and this bag is the perfect protection.
Brenda uses soft commercially tanned deer leather for the body of the bag, she adds long fringe at the bottom of the bag. The actual bag section measures 25 inches long by 6 1/2 inches wide.
Brenda beads the bag with glass beads, she fully beads the front of the bag and partially beads the back of the bag. She finishes the decoration of the bag with metal spots and a long leather tie that is decorated with cones, metal and glass beads.
