Native American Hand Beaded Horse Wallet
Created by local beadwork artist Joelle Follows The Road (Standing Rock Sioux Tribe), it’s a piece of art that can be used with a little care.
Joelle uses glass beads for her main design and then uses glass beads to cover the other side of the wallet. Glass beads will break if you drop them on any hard surface or crush them.
Joelle finishes the wallet with cotton material lining the inside and finishing the edge of the flap. She added grommets to the flap so it can tied shut with green leather strips and then she decorated with abalone shells, dentalium shells and small glass beads.
