Native American Hand Beaded Deer Sheath w Deer Antler Handle Knife
Native American artist Kevin Fast Horse Sr., Oglala Lakota Pine Ridge SD, hand beads the background color with a deep red. He adds the profile image of a spirit deer with the long line pointing to the deer’s heart.
Kevin is a master beadworker who only uses hand cut glass Italian beads. He finishes the beaded sheath designs with his signature geometric design and adds a beaded tail that measures 9 inches long. The actual sheath measures 10 inches long by 3 inches wide.
Kevin adds a deer antler handle knife, the blade of the knife is made from cold forged iron. The antler handle fits the curve of most people’s hands. The knife has a leather tie attached that features glass beads. The knife measures 11 1/2 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide.
The piece is signed by the artist.
