This creative Native American carved horse dance stick features a bronc rider. For anyone who does not know, a bronc rider will ride an unruly mount until it learns that the rider is in command. It is a dangerous thing to do, but necessary, so the horse and rider can have a long lasting relationship based on mutual respect.
Jim uses a single piece of wood, he carves the horse and rider together. Jim paints and stains the entire piece and then adds the details. The rider has a hat and braided hair. The horse is decorated with glass beads, real horse hair and imitation eagle feathers.
The piece is signed by the artist.
