This particular pedestal drum is hand painted by Miniconjou Lakota artist Jim Little Wounded. He uses a combination of free-hand techniques to paint the intricate buffalo design. Jim also decorates the drum with sleigh bells and leather fringe. The drum body is made by non-Native American Taos Drum Co.
