I am amazed with the high quality and expert craftmanship of this Čhaŋnúŋpa (ceremonial pipe). Very good product!
Created by non-Native American artist Dan Chapman. The bowl is a carving from pipestone into the shape of an eagle claw. Pipestone is also known as catlinite. This pipe features a wooden stem of fir, blue Italian glass trade beads, wool, turkey feathers, imitation eagle feathers, rabbit fluffs, and horse hair. The bowl is from the Pipestone Quarry in Pipestone, Minnesota.
