Hand Painted 16 x 9 Pedestal Drum: Buffalo Dancers

This particular pedestal drum is hand painted by Miniconjou Lakota artist Jim Little Wounded.  He uses a combination of free-hand techniques to paint the intricate buffalo dancers design.  Jim also decorates the drum with beadwork, sleigh bells, and leather fringe and even hand crafts a drumstick for to accompany the drum. The drum body is made by non-Native American Taos Drum Co.
