This 13 inch hand drum is hand painted by Miniconjou Lakota artist Jim Little Wounded. He uses a combination of free-hand painting techniques with acrylic paints to create the design. Jim also decorates the drum with cut buffalo horn caps, buffalo hair, and brass spots. He also hand crafts a drum beater to accompany the drum utilizing leather, acrylic paints, and thoughtful beadwork.
The drum body is made by non-Native American Wayne Manthey.
