In this video we wanted to dedicate it in remembrance of the late Joseph M. Marshall III (1946-2025). He was a profound teacher and writer sharing his knowledge and wisdom of the Lakota language, culture, customs, and stories. As an author, he has written an array of works spanning from non-fiction, novels, essays, and even several screen plays. Some of his works include: Lakota Way: Stories and Lessons for Living, The Journey of Crazy Horse, The Day the World Ended at the Little Bighorn, Walking with Grandfather:The Wisdom of a Lakota Elder, Crazy Horse Weeps, and Keep Going to name a few. With his passing, Joseph M. Marshall III has left behind a mighty legacy in the art of storytelling, indigenous education, and the preservation of the Lakota culture.
