Old Buffalo Hide Quilled Cradle Bundle

Non-Native American artist Chris Ravenshead designs this old style cradle bundle with dyed porcupine quills and glass beads. Chris uses brain tanned smoked buffalo hide for the main body of the bundle.

The quillwork design is also dated, it is the old style Elk peeking into the physical world to give the child protection and guidance. Chris has also added quilled slats at the top of the cradle bundle, quill wrapped dangles with dyed blue fluffs and brass bells. The opening of the piece is finished with hand cut glass Italian beads. The inside of the bundle is lined with old style calico cloth.
