Native American Hand Beaded Leather Pipebag: Eagle Head and Geometric Pattern

Native American beadwork artist Kevin D. Fast Horse, Sr. creates a useful pipebag with beautiful decorations, this bag features an Eagle Head and geometric pattern.

Kevin uses a commercially tanned piece of elk hide, it's a thicker hide, he folds it over and sews the one side of the bag. He adds fringe to the bottom of the bag and a leather thong at the top for closing. Kevin whip stitches the sewn side of the bag and the opening, Kevin adds the beaded geometric pattern and the Eagle head image. He finishes the bag with abalone shells, brass bells, brass beads and large glass beads.
